HR Manager


We’re seeking a world-class HR leader with a passion for establishing and developing exceptional HR practices as our organization grows.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for leading HR at RYLTI and implementing best practices across HR, People Ops, and our Corporate Culture and Diversity programs. This leader will also maintain a high-EQ and highly empathetic rapport with employees. You'll report to our COO.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including managing employees responsible for culture, recruiting, and internal special programs.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement best practices in the application of HR systems and policies. Maintain an awareness of HR principles and practices and the related regulatory environments.
  • Work with team leads to understand current and goals and trends that may impact headcount needs and initiatives.
  • Lead the design and delivery of appropriate training, development, and feedback cycles for RYLTI team leads and employees.
  • Drive a strong focus on employee relations, engagement, and retention activities (including benefits and perks).
  • Work with our team leads and recruiting staff to source top talent for RYLTI.
  • Develop and refine competitive compensation plans.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations matters and investigations; work to ensure issues are properly identified, reported, investigated, and resolved.
  • Maintain and protect confidential data with great discretion, judgment, and professionalism.

  • You possess a deep knowledge of and practical experience with US and California HR practices and employment laws; bonus points if you have background/experience with regulations governing non-profit organizations.
  • You have project management skills: a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • You have experience working with US immigration to obtain business-related visas.
  • You have passion for building and strengthening company culture.
  • You care deeply about diversity and inclusion.
  • You have had prior success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention, and reward programs.
  • possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and a genuine desire to help our team leads, researchers, and engineers excel at their roles.
